INVITATION TO THE NATIONAL ANNUAL CORPORATE REPORT AWARDS (NACRA) 2015 LAUNCHING CEREMONY & BRIEFING SESSION

In last year’s NACRA 2014 Awards presentation ceremony, the NACRA organising committee has unveiled that the competition in 2015 will be introducing a new award category for INCLUSIVENESS AND DIVERSITY REPORTING. The launch of the new award category which is in collaboration with Talent Corp, heralds a new era for NACRA in strengthening the relationship among business, talent, society and the environment in Corporate Reporting.
The new award category seeks to promote diversity in the boardroom and workforce which is increasingly becoming an area of focus in leading organisations. It also drives better business performance and governance. Furthermore, Bursa Malaysia has issued a Circular requiring all public listed companies to disclose diversity policies covering gender, ethnicity and age for their board and workforce in Annual Reports issued on or after 2nd January 2015.
During the event, NACRA past winners, namely Telekom Malaysia Berhad and Malayan Banking Berhad will be sharing their winning formula on what constitutes a good quality annual report. This knowledge sharing session will be facilitated by NACRA adjudicators.
NACRA is jointly organised by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and Bursa Malaysia Berhad with the objective of promoting greater and more effective communication of financial and business information through the publication of timely, informative, factual and reader-friendly annual reports.
Members of the media are cordially invited to cover the launching ceremony and the knowledge sharing session on Corporate Reporting, from preparers’ perspective.
