INVITATION TO ATTEND THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL FAMELAB MALAYSIA COMPETITION PRELIMINARY

It is with great pleasure that we’re extending this media invitation to the Kuala Lumpur preliminary round of the International FameLab Malaysia’s “Talking Science 2015”.
MIGHT in collaboration British Council has opened applications for the first Malaysian edition of the FameLab competition in February 2015. Famelab is one of the biggest science communication competitions in the world involving young scientists and the winner of the Malaysian competition will represent the country in the International edition of the contest in London in June 2015.
It is designed to engage and entertain by breaking down science, technology and engineering concepts into three minute presentations. The topic can be on any STEM related areas in a presentation uploaded on YouTube.
Ten Finalist FameLabbers will be selected to present at the FameLab Malaysia Finals in Kuala Lumpur on 9 May, 2015. The winner of the Malaysia Final will go on to compete in the International Final in Cheltenham, United Kingdom in June 2015.
Details of the program are as follows:
Day/Date : Saturday 4 April 2015
Time : 8:30 am – 4.30 pm
Venue : Mindvalley | Tower A, Menara UOA Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
Programme:
9.30 am : Arrival of participants, supporters, judges and VVIP
10.00 am : Session 1 (Presentation by participants Group 1)
12.00 noon : Lunch break
2.00 pm : Session 2 (Presentation by participants Group 2)
4.30 pm : Announcement of winner and gift handing ceremony session
