47TH AEM AND RELATED MEETING: EAST ASIA INVESTMENT FORUM (EAIF)

The East Asia Business Council (EABC) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) will be organising the first East Asia Investment Forum (EAIF).
The EAIF will be held in the margins of the ASEAN Economic Ministerial (AEM) week scheduled from August 20-25, 2015 in Kuala Lumpur.
We are pleased to invite members of the media to attend the event and to report on the 1st East Asia Investment Forum.

Over 200 delegates are expected to attend, representing policy makers and high profile business leaders from Southeast Asia, China, Japan and Republic of Korea. The Conference aims to update the industry on the various investment opportunities in this region.
The first session, a Ministerial Roundtable with YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia and His Excellency Gregory Domingo, Trade Secretary of Philippines will provide the opportunity of an exchange of views and to hear the governments on their efforts and initiatives to improve and further liberalise investment regimes. Additionally, there will be two plenary sessions covering relevant topics shaping business related policies and a showcase of investment opportunities in the region. Tan Sri Azman Hashim, EABC Malaysia Chairman and Chairman of Ambank Group will be delivering the opening remarks.
