CELEBRATION OF THE UNITED NATIONS' DAY ON 29 OCTOBER 2015 AT THE GRAND HYATT HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR

United Nations' (UN) Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations' officially came into being.
In Malaysia the celebration of the UN Day will be hosted by YB Dato' Seri Anifah Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia on:

1300 : Doa recitation
1305 : Remarks by the Honorable Dato’ Sri Anifah Haji Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia
1310 : “Malaysia and the United Nations” Book Launch by the Honorable Dato’ Sri Anifah Haji Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia
1315 : Light refreshment
1430 : End of programme
On the occasion of the celebration, YB Foreign Minister will also launch a book entitled, "Malaysia and the United Nations' " a short collection of stories and anecdotes by some of the country's top diplomats who served the country at the United Nations' headquarter in New York.
For easy reference, a copy of the tentative programme is also attached herewith. Media representatives are kindly requested to be present 30 minutes before the celebration commences.
