PERSONAL FINANCIAL PLANNING CONFERENCE 2015 & MFPC JOHOR CHAPTER LAUNCHING CEREMONY

The Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) will embark on another chapter as we will officially launch MFPC Johor Chapter at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel, Johor Bahru followed by a Personal Financial Planning Conference 2015. MFPC first established with the purpose to provide professional financial planning education in Malaysia, with the task to uplift the financial planning knowledge of Malaysians. RFP (Registered Financial Planner) and Shariah RFP professional designations are recognized by BNM and SC for licensing purposes. MFPC Johor Chapter has full support of the Chief Minister of Johor, Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin who is also a member of the MFPC Advisory Board.
MFPC has bring together financial experts from various backgrounds, Dr Desmond Chong, Trainer and Head of Chinese Outreach Agensi Kaunseling & Pengurusan Kredit(AKPK), Dato’ Javern Lim, CEO and Founder of VKA Wealth Planners Sdn, Mr Kenny Suen, Regional Account Manager – ASEAN Hansard International Ltd and Mr Lee Tien Xiang , FSM Research Analyst, iFast Financial for the personal financial planning conferences.

About Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC)
MFPC is an independent body set up with the noble objective of promoting nationwide development and enhancement of the financial planning profession. MFPC provides an evolving set of Best Practice Standards and Code of Ethics that must be adhered to by Registered Financial Planner (RFP) and Shariah RFP designees. This requirement is aimed at ensuring that the public will be served with the highest quality of financial planning services. MFPC was registered on 10th of March, 2004 under the Societies Act, 1996. The Registered Financial Planner (RFP) programme was launched by the Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz in November 2002.
The RFP designation has been approved by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) as the prerequisite qualification to apply for the Financial Advisers’ License and Financial Advisers’ Representative License. RFP designation has also been duly approved by Securities Commission Malaysia for the application of the Capital Markets Services License (CMSL) in view of the introduction of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.
