TAF (TEACHING ACCOUNTANCY FIRM) MOU SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN SALIHIN AND UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU (UMT)

SALIHIN Chartered Accountants will embark on another chapter as we will officially launch Teaching Accountancy Firm (TAF) at Dewan Auditorium Mahyuddin in Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). SALIHIN aspires to become a “glocal” consulting firm serving both local and international clients. Its glocal strategic move is not just to spread its wings but to make its presence felt as the preferred and leading global National Firm of Malaysian origin in business consultation services. Established over a decade ago, SALIHIN is one of the fast growing and leading indigenous brands in Malaysia, which umbrellas a group of distinctive entities tailoring unique and independent consulting services to local and international clientele.
SALIHIN along with its network member firms and UMT established TAF, a fully-functioning branch of SALIHIN to spread its wings aimed at bridging the gap between the academia and practice in the accountancy profession’s ecosystem. The TAF intends to provide a unique and advanced learning and training environment for both accounting lecturers and students of the university. Both students and lecturers would be exposed to real industry case studies and experience while handling actual service engagements. The services scope covers the entire practice areas of SALIHIN, namely, audit and assurance, taxation, financial accounting and reporting, secretarial and governance services, shariah audit and advisory, business advisory, and corporate finance and transaction services.

The TAF's MoU is going to be signed by En. Ahmad Izwan Adnan (Director) and En. Salihin Abang (Managing Partner) from SALIHIN and also Prof. Dr. Mohd. Shaladdin Muda (Dean of School of Maritime Business and Management) and Prof. Dato’ Dr. Nor Aieni Haji Mokhtar (Vice Chancellor) from UMT on the 29th December 2015.
The TAF is unique as it revolutionizes the relation between accountancy practitioners and their academic counterparts. Thus, the TAF will enhance the value of UMT’s accountancy graduates as it gives them the opportunity through real-world practice to gain and graduate with relevant skillset and experience above their peers in other universities.
