COLLABORATION AGREEMENT SIGNING CEREMONY

The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) invites members of the media to cover the signing of the Collaboration Agreement between AICB, the Financial Markets Association of Malaysia (FMAM) and the Asian Banking School (ABS).
The Collaboration Agreement will be signed by the CEO of AICB, President of ACI-FMAM, and CEO of ABS, witnessed by the Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, and Chairman of AICB and ABS. In addition, Datuk Muhammad bin Ibrahim, Governor Bank Negara Malaysia will deliver the Special Address.

FMAM in consultation with AICB and BNM agreed that a much more robust and professional practice and policy would be necessary to raise the professional standards in members conduct and discipline. It was agreed by both parties that AICB is better placed to fulfil this objective. AICB as a professional membership based body has already in place the appropriate infrastructures to ensure and uphold the professional standards and professional conduct of its members.
In this collaboration, AICB will admit Ordinary Members of FMAM as Associate Members of AICB and an appropriate continuing professional development requirement is in place to support the Members professional development journey. ABS will be the sole provider in delivering the workshops for the Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia Certificate and the Investor Protection Professional Certification examinations for FMAM.
