IIUM RECTOR TO SHARE THOUGHTS ON "THE POWER OF YOUTH: BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE IN THE FACE OF ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES," AT PERDANA DISCOURSE SERIES 23

As climate change and the digital age are pushing the world to an uncertain future, youth can be the change agents to shape a new paradigm that balances economic prosperity with environmental responsibility.
This is the central theme of the twenty-third Perdana Discourse Series titled "The Power of Youth: Building a Better Future in the Face of Economic and Environmental Challenges," which will be held on 3rd December 2023 (Sunday) at Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya.
The keynote speaker is distinguished academician YBhg Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), The event will also host Dato' Sri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin, Chief Statistician, Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), Ms Nina Adlan Disney, Executive Director, LeapEd Services, Ms Raudhah Nazran, Chief Executive Officer & Founder, Accelerate Global, and Mr Beh Zeng Kang, Environmentalist & the first Malaysian Winner of ASEAN Youth Champion as panellists with moderator Dr Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Associate Professor, Department of Professional Development & Continuing Education (JPPPL), Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
The Perdana Discourse Series debuted in 2004, and seeks to facilitate knowledge exchange and dialogue between experienced leaders and young Malaysians. More than two hundred tertiary students are expected at the Discourse which has centred on issues such as national unity, political stability, economic development, and education.
"The Discourse Series is an important part of the activities of the Foundation. It is the Foundation's hope that regular hosting of these intellectual discourses on topics that are uniquely Malaysian will help identify issues relevant to nation-building and the development of a progressive and prosperous society," said Tan Sri Azman Hashim, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Perdana Leadership Foundation.

About Perdana Discourse Series (PDS):
Perdana Discourse Series is a half-day event where a prominent presenter will speak on a pre-determined topic addressing its definition and identifying issues, policies, and strategies. Discussions and issues arising from the discourse will be documented and published in monograph form. The Discourse has previously dissected topics such as National Unity, Social Re-engineering, Political Stability, Economic Development, Affirmative Action, International Relations, Education, and Leadership.
