MTC INTERVARSITY DEBATE COMPETITION 2023

As the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) Intervarsity Debate Competition 2023 reaches its thrilling conclusion, we are honoured to extend an invitation to media members for the Grand Final and Awards Presentation Ceremony. Join us for an evening brimming with debates and celebrations as the TOP 2 Finalists engage in a battle of wits to claim victory.
MTC introduced its first-ever MTC Intervarsity Debate Competition with the aim of engaging university students to raise awareness of timber, the environment and sustainability issues. The goal extends beyond the competition itself as we want to inspire the younger generation and the wider community on timber's green credentials and as a "partner" in creating a sustainable future.
The theme of this year's debate "The Usage of Timber and Its Impact on the Environment" will initiate the academic advocacy needed to explore the advantages and challenges associated with this vital resource.
