MALAYSIAN STUDENTS VISIT CHIBA ON "FOREIGN STUDENT MONITOR TOUR" PROJECT

CHIBA, Japan, Jan. 5, 2016 /Kyodo JBN-AsiaNet/ -- Ten Malaysian students were invited to Chiba Prefecture from December 24 to 28, 2015, for a monitor tour designed to send out information on the prefecture's attractive points. (Photo: http://prw.kyodonews.jp/prwfile/release/M102229/201601056806/_prw_OI1fl_7A5n7To5.jpg) During the tour, the students visited a number of sightseeing spots in the prefecture, joined an exchange meeting with their local counterparts, and also paid a courtesy visit to Governor Kensaku Morita. The Malaysians are expected to post on SNS such as Facebook and Twitter what they found attractive about Chiba Prefecture in general and the places they visited in particular. Outline of tour The Malaysian university student monitor tour, the second in a series following the first one in 2014, featured hands-on experiences with traditional Japanese culture, including the preparation of New Year's decorations and thick sushi rolls that are unique to this season, in addition to visiting popular sightseeing spots in the prefecture. 1.
